Curated byMarilú Purcell, the exhibition features a selection of 36 works by Puerto Rican and Latin American artists, including Claudio Bravo (Chile), Olga Albizú (Puerto Rico), Cundo Bermúdez (Cuba), Jesús Rafael Soto (Venezuela), Omar Rayo (C.olombia), Lorenzo Homar (Puerto Rico), Olga Dueñas (USA/Ecuador), Rafael Coronel (Mexico) and Carlos Mérida (Guatemala), among many other artists of international recognition.
Distributed in four rooms, the works are presented in thematic groups that refer to social interests and realities shared by their avant-garde creators. This exhibition offers an excellent opportunity to appreciate the works of an extraordinary group of Latin American artists (by birth or by choice) of the twentieth century and the multiple styles they practiced.
The exhibition has an educational brochure, a calendar of events and workshops that promote art education and appreciation.
