Admission Requirements

  • Commitment to work a minimum of four hours per week or 16 hours per month.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English (preferably).
  • Ability to follow instructions, stay organized, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments, handle multiple tasks, and manage changing priorities.
  • Professional conduct, respect for institutional policies, and commitment to the Museum’s values.

Volunteering
The Internship Program of the Museo de Arte de Ponce offers the student an educational experience that resembles the work environment that they could occupy in the future. Those interned at the Museum are not financially remunerated.

Program

As interns, students can apply their theoretical knowledge in real work situations in the areas of art, art history, business administration, office systems, tourism, social sciences and others.

Types of boarding school

The Museo de Arte de Ponce offers two categories of boarding school:
  • Voluntary internship - is done voluntarily by students who wish to gain practical experience before finishing their university studies.
  • University Internship - is conducted by students who need to complete an internship as a graduation requirement.

Admission Requirements

Must be either of the following:
  • Be an active student at the undergraduate level (in your final year of college) or at the graduate level.
  • Have a minimum academic average of 3.5 on a 4.0 point scale.
  • Research and writing skills.
  • Professional behavior and appropriate presentation for the Museum environment during the internship.
  • Commit to working a minimum of 120 hours during a semester (only applies to volunteer boarding students).

  • Interview with the Human Resources and Volunteers Coordinator and department leaders
