The Museo de Arte de Ponce will offer a variety of Summer Workshops in July

(Ponce- June 17, 2022) – Under the name “Verano en el Museo”, during the month of July, the Museo de Arte de Ponce opens its doors to those interested in acquiring basic knowledge in a variety of disciplines through a series of weekly workshops at its headquarters in the Ciudad Señorial. The initiative arises as part of the organization’s plans to reactivate the annex building of the Museum and its gardens for the enjoyment of all while the works leading to the reopening of its emblematic Edward Durell Stone building, affected by the earthquake of 2020, are undergoing. Each workshop is weekly and children, from 8 years old, adults and families can participate.
“Verano en el Museo” kicks off from July 6 to 8 with a fun painting and wood carving workshop. The second session, scheduled from July 13 to 15, is dedicated to the most intrepid with a workshop of Japanese caricature techniques – manga and engraving – linoleum. The third session, which closes the cycle of summer workshops, will be held from July 20 to 22 with an interesting workshop on easel drawing and textile printing.
